Riley fisher,
Queer Minds founder

Hiya! My name is Riley (they/them). I am based in Naarm (Melbourne) on the unceded land of the Boon Wurrung people. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present.

I am a queer, trans, disabled, neurodivergent person who has lived experience of mental health struggles. At Queer Minds, we support our clients using a peer framework, as we believe that disabled people thrive when supported by other disabled people.

I’m really passionate about helping my clients explore what is meaningful to them, rather than pushing neurotypical goals onto them. I love assisting people with defining their own life path.

My areas of interest include: neurodivergence, mental health, hEDS, POTS, LGBTQIA+.

My formal qualifications include a Master of Public Health and a certification in Mental Health First Aid. I'm also a counsellor in training.

We love to work with…

  • People within the queer and trans communities

  • Neurodivergent people

  • People looking for a relaxed and friendly approach (we’re real humans and we bring our personalities into our work)

  • People wanting support to understand themselves and their needs better

  • People needing assistance to find supports that are affirming of their identities

We’d love to help you define your own life path and make a plan to get you there.

Our Approach

  • Promotes Autonomy

We’re not here to tell you what to do, or what you need. We will empower you to choose your own goals and find what works for you.

  • LGBTQIA+ and Neurodiversity Affirming

As neurodivergent, queer and trans humans, we know how important it is to find services where you can be yourself. Bring your weird and quirky self!

  • Person Centred

Everyone’s path is different. We recognise that you’re the expert in your own life and your own needs.
